Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.

Former Confederate President Jefferson Davis made history with his speech in Fulton on September 11, 1875. The bicentennial of his birth will be marked at the historic home where he stayed with a fried chicken picnic dinner, Southern dessert table, and refreshments. You can also enjoy an historic talk, a rare exclusive tour of the home, and music by the Front Porch Pickers. Proceeds benefit the sponsoring Elijah Gates Camp of Sons of Confederate Veteran's and the favorite charity of Hockaday House proprietors Mr. & Mrs. Bob Holt.

Tickets can be purchased at Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society located at 513 Court Street in Fulton. Tickets are $20 each or $35 for couple. Children 12 and under are $5 with accompanying adult.
